BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, has strongly condemned TMC MLA Ramendu Sinha Roy's remark branding Ayodhya's Ram temple as an 'unholy site'. Adhikari took to social media to share a clip of Roy's speech where he discourages Hindus from visiting the Ram temple for puja, sparking outrage among many.

Taking to X, Adhikari wrote, ""Simply Outrageous. TMC MLA of Tarakeswar Assembly Constituency - Ramendu Sinha Roy, who is also the TMC President of Arambagh Organizational District has labeled the Grand Ram Mandir as 'UNHOLY'. He has also stated that no Indian Hindu should offer Puja at such unholy site."

Adhikari denounced Roy's statement, labeling it as "outrageous" and indicative of the lack of respect from TMC leadership towards Lord Ram. He announced plans to file an FIR against Roy for his remarks, citing the offense caused to Hindu sentiments worldwide. Additionally, Adhikari criticized CM Mamata Banerjee for allegedly inviting school students to an 'administrative programme', accusing her of filling the venue with mostly school children."This is the language of the TMC Leaders. He has laid bare the level of respect and regards of the TMC leadership towards Lord Ram," Adhikari said.
